Rabbit NOM NOM's @ The Tasty Pear !

The Tasty Pear in the newly refurbished (and stunning!) Bassemdean shopping center is a local pop up shop organised and run by Gill and Chantel. This is a pop up shop with a big difference - it really is a creative space with absolutely amazing decor and of course a large range of local creative design art and objects for you to purchase. Its a welcoming space that presents itself as a celebration of the results of a creative economy that is second to none right here in WA.

This pop up shop is a stand out for me - its just an absolute delight to be in.  It has a great range of really special things to buy and a great range of prices suitable for every single budget.   Its going to be around until the end of the year so you can get all of your gift shopping done in the one store.  Remember that its important to not only support the local creators of great gifts but also, these kinds of gifts are so much more special than mass produced products.   Make it extra special this year, buy local designer wares for those you love.

Of course, Shiny Rabbit is in the Tasty Pear Mix but so are many others - you will really be amazed at how this store is pulled together and how things have been displayed.  It's such a creatively gathered and displayed collection that it verges on the curatorial.

A must visit, The Tasty Pear will take care of all of your Christmas Gift needs in one lovely location!

5 Ways our Whiteboards can help you to win in A Game of Thrones

1. Planus Perfectus

You will never forget a move if you plan your hit list on your whiteboard.

2. The Strategy Splattergy

Leave your fake strategy on your whiteboard in not too obvious, but accessible site.  Trick your enemies & pounce when they least expect it.

3. The Gorinator

Outline or sketch ultra violence on your whiteboard.  Use names.  Your opponents will be too scared to stand in your way.

Don't worry, I've got your back (in my swords sight!)

4. The Code Coefficient

Write a nonsense code on your whiteboard underlining it with the words “7 Kingdoms domination in 20 minutes”.  Your opponents will be too busy trying to break your code and forget that they have their backs to your sword.

5. Minimus Maximus

Tiny tiny words make your opponents move closer and closer to your whiteboard to read.  Has the added advantage of distraction and back placement ripe for sword like vengeance.

Some Things In Life ARE Free!

I thought I would start a weekly resource post where you will be able to find creative projects and the like for free! One of the best resources I have found might surprise you! Its the BurdaStyle page which is nicely mixed with their own products and community contributions. I absolutely love what they have done here and while you can bet they make good business lovin' from sharing like this it also sends a message that they do appreciate the communities skills and talent. Membership is free!

The awesomeness from this site includes:

  • your own project and profile page
  • projects and techniques available to all members
  • a great gallery to inspire
  • anyone can contribute their patterns
  • share your own triumphs in sewing (lord knows I have very few of those!)
  • they have project runway challenges, opportunities to forward develop and create from their designs
  • and best of all, the FREE patterns you can download from the company & community!
